The motherboard should have two IDE connectors. Put the Maxtor UDMA66 on
the first one - alone. Then put the UDMA33 and CDROM on the second IDE.
Make sure that you have the master/slave settings right. I use a Maxtor
UDMA66 as the primary hd on this box and have a UDMA33 and CDROM (DVD)
on the secondary. The only real change I had to make as regards BIOS was
that the HD spec was set to Auto. This is essential on large drives.

IDE0 ------ UDMA66 (master)------
IDE1 ------ UDMA33 (master) ----- CDROM (slave)
