Typically the text that's seen here is from /etc/issue or /etc/issue.net 

so editing that should b enuf.

However  on a Redhat system this is re-written on every boot/runlevel change 
from stuff at the end of /etc/rc.d/rc.local so you 'll have to edit that 
instead.

not sure if Mandrake does this too, check both out & see
