Um, actually, I'm not file locking all the time.  I didn't think I'd need
to as each user has their own file, therefore there should be only one
process accessing the file at a time.  Also, the toolbars are all hidden in
the browser window this thing opens in to discourage people from hitting
refresh or going back and forward.

That doesn't necessarily stop them from refreshing though, or something
else weird could be happening.  Doh!  Ok, I'll flock everything and see if
that helps.

Does flock work ok on windows as well as unix as the script has to run on
both?  I've heared rumours that it's a bit flaky on some systems.
