Hi,
I'm working in AIT, using Netscpae as my e-mail client (under Linux).
I'm having problems in that internal e-mail doesn't seem reliable:
messages that I'm sending to staff within the college do not seem to
be received (whereas when I CC myself at home it seems to get through,
which is why I am e-mailing this to the list, I expect it will get through);
also, I am not receiving e-mail that is being sent to me (e.g. from
students using Hotmail).
So I rang the "help" desk here and the attitude is, "we support 2 e-mail
clients, Outlook and Outlook Express; anyone who wants to go off
and use Linux, good luck to him". (In fact, when I spoke to him
first and said I was having e-mail problems he said "You must be using
an Apple or something like that". Talk about blinkered!) Anyway, apart from
being iritated by this attitude, I was wondering if anyone could
offer advice, please?
(I'm going to try e-mail from Windows and Outlook Express to see if that
works).
Regards,
Cormac.
