Evenin',
I've had a mac under my desk for ages and I needed another server, so last
week I tried to install MkLinux onto it. I got into the install program
ok, partitioned the disk, and it was installing grand until it died with
some errors I can't remember.
So anyway I rebooted and now it won't boot off the CD anymore. I think
this is because I have nuked the mac system drive, so it doesn't know
where to boot from, though I was under the impression that I would be able
to boot off a CD.
Unfortunately the original mac os cd's that came with this mac have long
since, so is there anything I can do to get it booting again? Is there
such a thing as a boot disk for a mac? or somewhere I can get a cd image
that I can boot off? Or is there something like a BIOS for a mac that
I can get into?
So basically is there anything I can do with what I have or do I need to
find someone who can lend me a MacOS cd and reinstall off that to get it
working again?
My knowledge of mac os & hardware is severely limited, so any help, advice
appreciated!
Thanks,
Dave
