This cable should be operational for June and Genesis say their Operation
should be going by November. I called and asked a few Q's about linux and
bandwidth and stuff. They said they'd call back in a while with some
answers.

Subject: [ILUG] [OT] Genesis Europe, dirt cheap Internet access..
Anyone see the advert in the Sunday Tribune yesterday? this ISP promises
45Mbits to your house over standard phone lines. It's a flat rate
service, with no concept of peak/off-peak usage.
Their Internet service won't start until November, but they also offer
low cost international calls, ~12p/min to the USA..
Their number was 1800 436 37 47 but I don't know if it's active now. The
ad said it was active for the weekend.
I asked about Linux support but the techie there didn't know for sure
about support. If you ring, make sure to mention Linux :)
Donncha.
