Well you could try the latest jdk1.2.2 for linux from sun.

I think that this should be installed  ( for the most part ) into
/usr/lib/java

There is probably some configuration setting in Star Office to enable you to
set the home directory of the
jdk / jre that you wish to use. I don't know as it seems like a century ago
that I last used it >:-))

BTW could anyone tell me ( I know that there are SUN
people on this list ) why the bzip format is used
for these distros ? Does it give greater compression
or is it just done to piss people off ?
In my experience nobody uses bzip2 for anything other
than unzipping jdks
