[ILUG] Eterm and selection blank lines

Eterm-0.8-9 RPM.  Say you have text like:

   line 1

   line 3

   line 5

and you select the 5 lines from 1 to 5 inclusive.  Then
paste them into (another or same) Eterm:

   line 1
   line 3
   line 5

Blank lines gone.  Anyone know of a solution?  Or will it be back
to xterm/nxterm/xterm-color/rxvt/Juan-from-Ecuador's-latest-term?

Or is there a _fast_ GNOME-aware term?
