[ILUG] NFS probs

I have found that unless you finish the exported directory with a
'/' in the exports (or equivalent file) it behaves strangely. Might be, . .
. might not.

Wierd one. Looks like an NFS client side problem in 2.3.35. I'm trying to
mount a few things off an NFS server. I can mount some stuff, but not
/home - it just says "permission denied". On the server, it's giving stuff
like:

authenticated mount request from xena.fv.digiserve.ie:1018 for /var/home
(/var/home)
getfh failed: Operation not permitted

the /var/lib/nfs/xtab and etab files seem to reckon it's exporting the
filesystems though. Any ideas ? Looked through linux-kernel archives, and
there is nothing new...this works on 2.3.24 and 2.2.x...do I need a more
recent knfs-clients or something ? (it's on a RH 6.1+updates system).
