Doh!
Sorry to bother ye again, but all went well until the very end.
I can Make Dep, make clean, make modules etc,
When I make bzImage it bombs out at the very end
with the following errors:
gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux/include -E -D__BIG_KERNEL__ -traditional -
DSVG
A_MODE=NORMAL_VGA bootsect.S -o bbootsect.s
as86 -0 -a -o bbootsect.o bbootsect.s
make[1]: as86: Command not found
make[1]: *** [bbootsect.o] Error 127
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux/arch/i386/boot'
make: *** [bzImage] Error 21
Could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong. and what is as86?
This appears to be the problem (obviously because the command cannot
be found).
Cheers
Robert
