[ILUG] [OT] meridian pabx configuration

[ILUG] [OT] meridian pabx configuration

Unless "ax" is Answer eXtension ... which is exactly what a voicemail
service is doing?
In my experience of PBX, the commands do usually mean something, but
bearing in mind that most programming of these switches is *still* done on
1200bps modems - the engineers who work this stuff have no interest in
"evokative" commands.
I'd fully agree with PhoneMaster though, its really good - and the latest
version includes VoiceMail functionallity. Nortel are threatening to
launch a simillar product (for at least three years mind you..).

I used to work extensively with Meridians in previous employers and there
is
nothing intuitive about them!!! ;-)

However, I found a very simple solution in a product called Phonemaster
from a
company called Phoneware here in Dublin....

It's a windows based gui that allows you to drag and drop extensions on
TN's
etc..

It takes all the hassle out of it, however the only drawback is it doesn't
handle the voicemail system... or at least it didn't when I was using it,
newer
versions may....

ciao,

ojc
