No one for Galway listed, though most will ship directly to you I presume.

Subject: [ILUG] Hardware solutions
Hi all,
I'm thinking of purchasing a new PC (or making my own
from the bits and pieces).
Can anyone recommend a good hardware vendor here in
Dublin (or Galway - I go there fairly often) for
this.
I've gone to Gateway (stop that laughing!!) and they told
me
a) they don't sell Linux machines and
b) if I do install it, the warranty is voided!
Also, any URLs/references about the pros and cons
of purchasing a machine that is Linux compatible?
Winmodems to be avoided of course - what other issues
are there?
What about USB?
Thanks for your input.
Paul Linehan.
