I'm involved with the WITC, a Wicklow based charity that promotes ICT in
schools, we have installed three Linux servers in the past year to
provide file/print sharing, authentication and web access.

Subject: [ILUG] RedHat give Linux free to UK schools
Hi,
Just noticed this on the BBC site:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/education/newsid_603000/603893.stm
Basically Red-Hat are giving Red-Hat Linux to schools in the UK.
They are
providing support at a discount, but it appears that they see the
students
getting interested enough to maintain the machines themselves.
Apart from the article on Naas CBS by Gavin O'Gorman, does
anyone know if
many schools here are using Linux here?
Cheers
Al
