Try http://www.cpc.co.uk. Can't find it in the catalog at the moment, but
it is there, things just dissapear when you are looking fo them!!

Where I was working during the summer we had several backpack units for
CD Drive's. Basically it's a board with a parallel connector at one end
an IDE connector on the other, as well as a 12v input and hd power
outputs. Don't have a clue where to get them put Radionics or Peats might
be a good bet.
