Are you sure the cable works?
use hyperterm or some other terminal proggy
in windoze to confirm (note if it doesn't
work try bringing the speed down).
In the NT "modem" settings have you told it
not to wait for dial tone before dialing?
Also how are you initiating the connection
from NT. If you've created a connectoid
in dialup networking make sure that only
IP is checked (I.E. it doesn't try to
log in etc.)
