Does anybody have any pointers on how I might hook into the power
management functions on an old Toshiba 1900 laptop? It's running
as a dialup gateway at home, and I'd like to do things like have it
spin down the disk when nothing's happening, and shutdown on power
failure (the laptop's battery is very old and tired, and only lasts
about 10 minutes).
I've hunted around for info on the machine and its BIOS but can find
nothing useful. The machine came with various DOS power management
utilities, but no info about the BIOS functions.
