I posted a plea for aid here about a week ago, regarding linking some c++
code calling the libpam functions with libpam (-lpam). I have since
discovered the blatently obvious solution (maybe someone will find it
useful) . . . .

when you #include <security/pam_appl.h> surround it by an extern "C" { } as
in . . .

extern "C"{
#include <security/pam_appl.h>
}

everything falls into place then . . .
