Hey,
I'll make sure all my words are typed out fully, and that I watch my
grammar :)
I just installed RedHat 6.2 from the CD, but I have a slight problem. Due
to an unfortunate case of idiocy, I installed LILO, despite the kernel
being beyond 1024th cylinder.
However, I presumed this could be resolved by using the new Lilo, which I
got from freshmeat.net .
I did not bank on not being able to access my VFAT partition however, and
this is somewhat irritating. It has not been autodetected, and my attempt
to mount it by hand was less than encouraging, since it seemed not to exist.
Intially I had to use PQBOOT (partition magic's boot manager) to reset the
boot partition to C:, and, while this boots and scandisks ok, I cannot get
PQBOOT to spot that my ext2 partition exists.
Is this simply a matter of adding /hda1/ ... to the /etc/mtab ? or is it
more sinister?
Thanks in advance,
Alex.
