[ILUG] Linux box to replace 3com isdn router Q

[ILUG] Linux box to replace 3com isdn router Q

Stephen Shirley diamond at csn.ul.ie
Tue Jun 6 13:17:36 IST 2000

Mornin' all,
We have the above mentioned isdn router which we use to connect to
the internet. We want to replace the router with a linux box which will
perform roughly the same functions - namely dial on demand (not too much
of a problem: diald right?), and bandwidth on demand (i.e. when 70% of the
first channel is constantly used for x amount of time, bring up the second
channel, and drop the 2nd channel if the usage drops below a certain level
etc.).
Is this easy/possible?

Steve
