Hey Folks,
Thanks for the help with the last problem, this isn't a problem as
such, just something I might have to do in the future. The story at the mo'
is we have a 220R with no gfx card, I set it up using a serial cable. The
developers are about to start using this, and they are coming from an ultra
10 (which has a gfx card) so they use vnc at the mo' . now they want to use
vnc on the new machine. Will vnc work on a machine that doesn't have a gfx
card, will X run on a machine without a gfx card, if so it should be a
matter of just setting up a X server on the developers PC's. They have
basically said that using putty for multiple ssh sessions is out of the
question. Whats the recommended course of action, go and buy a gfx card for
the sun box, or can i do any of the above. They also say that developing
over "windows std telnet" is unacceptable, which is why I suggested putty. I
also showed them vnc, for which I am now sorry :-) The 220R didn't come with
a gfx card so I am a bit reluctant to install one...
Regards
Roy
