You can set up VPN on Solaris clients by using SKIP.
There's a description on

It used to be a freebie off http://www.sun.com/downloads but I couldn't find
it there earlier.
It's probably bundled with the Solaris releases though - check you're
Solaris intranet
extensions CD (or whatever it's called these days).
