Thats ls doing the colouring, and the file it drags the colors from
is /etc/DIR_COLORS you can also copy it to ~/.dir_colors. The attribute
code for bold is the 01 sequence in each entry in this file. I suspect
that for example convert
DIR 01;34 # directory
to
DIR 00;34 # directory
and repeat for all others that that will sort out your bold issue and
you can read the file for the colors available etc etc
