Now there's an intriuging suggestion :-) OK - the fudgies (being in this
case original Linuxcare bootable business card CDs and car country sticker
with LNX on (also courtesy of Linuxcare)) will be given out at the AGM as
prizes for a quiz. We'll see if we can't get a few other prizes together as
well - all donations gratefully received. Now, there are a couple of provisos:
1) I have to get the time during the week to actually make the quiz up and
get quiz sheets printed.
2) I have to turn up at the AGM - personal circumstances may yet make that
impossible, but I do expect to be there.
3) There will be a limited number of entries - this is to encourage people
to turn up on time (like I'm going to be :-) ) and also because the
competition will need to be judged during the AGM, and I might like to
listen to the proceedings.
4) Bad things will happen to anyone found using a WAP phone or any other
remote access device for research during the quiz.
I just had a thought - in the interests of the paperless office, would it be
unfair to have the quiz using IR capable PamOS devices ? I beam the quiz to
you, and you beam back the completed sheet. From what I've seen of ILUG
people, I'd be excluding very few :-) I suppose it'd be slower than simply
handing out and collecting sheets of paper though.
Regards,
Niall
P.S. This is just a thought, inspired by Kenn. If those organising the AGM
think it's not in keeping, we'll drop the idea.
