>That was possibly the most useless comment I've ever seen on ILUG. You quote
statistics, which is just pathetic, and the reason I was reminded of Denis
Leary - because you sound exactly like one of his "well, you know..."
characters. And then you end with a *really* weak joke. I thought this thread
was finished, kaput, over? Well, not before I have the final word matey...
Arse. Smoking is good for you, it gives you long flowing hair and makes you
irresistable to women and magnetises you in a special way to money and makes you
impervious to bills and the Revenue and the VATman and people run up to you in
the street and give you stuff.
Honest.
Go on... have a tab...
Anyway, I'd like to quote the whole of "Denis Leary - No Cure for Cancer" in
response to that, and all the other puffy "Smoking is bad for you" replies, but
I don't want to start some faggy hissy fits. So, to paraphrase:
WE'VE HEARD IT ALL BEFORE, WE'VE SEEN THE ADS, WE KNOW WHAT IT DOES TO OUR
LUNGS, WE DON'T CARE.
And do you know *why* we don't care? Because, in case you hadn't noticed,
smoking is a drug. Yes, we're addicts. So, rather than annoying us with the
little jokes and stabs and soapbox rants about smoking, why don't you all either
a) mind your own fscking business or b) go and taunt a heroin addict.
I'm sure they'll love you just as much as us.
