[ILUG] Mount cdrom troubles

[ILUG] Mount cdrom troubles

Hi ,

I've been having some trouble mounting my cdrom (cdrw) /dev/hdc. I've tried
mounting /dev/cdrom and /dev/hdc but to no avail. The second cdrom mounts
properly and both are properly detected by the bios and win95.
fstab has an entry for both the cdroms, same settings. When I try to cd
/mnt/cdrom I get the following error(s?)

cd /mnt/cdrom
ide-scsi: hdc: unsupported command in request queue (0)
isofs_read_super: bread failed dev=16:00, iso_blknum=16, block=32
ide-scsi: hdc: unsupported command in request queue (0)
isofs_read_super: bread failed dev=16:00, iso_blknum=16, block=32
bash: cd: cdrom: Input/output error

I tried to mount /dev/cdrom to /mnt/tmp with filesystem iso9660 but it wouldn't
work. Gave an incorrect filesystem or too many mounts error.
I think the problem is related to when I removed the cdrw and put in a hard
disk that I wanted to copy some stuff off of. This sisn't work as mount
thought that the hd was a cdrom still. Also, dmesg gives the following

dmesg:
VFS: Disk change detected on device ide1(22,0)
ide-scsi: hdc: unsupported command in request queue (0)
end_request: I/O error, dev 16:00 (hdc), sector 64
isofs_read_super: bread failed, dev=16:00, iso_blknum=16, block=32

And repeats that loads of times.

Any suggestions would be great, it's starting to annoy me at this stage.

Thanks,

Paul.
