I just want to take up the
comment about 40 people not making a list, so what does? I'm on lists of
ten people with a higher volume than ilug on lists twice the size with an
eight of the volume, more people does not make a better/more active list.
Also if you had read the mail properly I did make the point that perhaps
having a webapps list rather than a php list is a better idea.

a list for people who are doing backend web stuff as opposed to finicky
making x border bigger stuff would be usefull. Baring stuff like
javascript
could be a bit silly though, its extremely usefull for some purposes, and
can make your life a hell of a lot easier.
