I think it is run as a non-profit organisation though I would disagree
with their choice of CEO for reasons that are on HackWatch. Apart from
that it seems ok. It is largely a business type of organisation and the
entry fee is £150. The spam thing was due to Frank Cronin (AKA Frankie
The Spammer, AKA CEO-IIA) writing that pro-spam article for the
Communications Today magazine last year. This of course was before the
IIA made him CEO. Strangely the IIA never did come out with that Spam
position paper last November.

I'd be in favour of a PHP/Apache web dev list though as no doubt would
many people on the IIA list who are using the stuff. However it should
include all database driven site stuff on Linux
(AOLserver/TCL/MySQL/Oracle/Perl etc).
