At the AGM, myself and Adam Beecher are going to host a 45 minute BOF
session on web devlopment.
BOF sessions are like moderated discussions. The audience gets to
participate in the talks!
The two of us will start by talking about web development in general and
maybe a few minutes on some of the following:
tools/languages available to the devloper.
how the web thing works (stateless vs stateful).
OO in web development.
How a web server talks to a database (not specifically Apache -> MySQL)
Then open it up for discussion. There's going to be several BOF sessions
at the same time so if we only have a few people could be nice to just
sit around a table and figure out how such and such works..
Then again, the more the merrier :)
I'm posting this to the ILUG as an announcement, further discussion
should be taken to webdev at linux.ie
