Nick elliott asked : Does anybody out there know how to configure a Red Hat
machine so that it automatically adjusts for daylight savings time?

Nick i'm guessing you are having the same problem i had that the
clock is a hour fast and if you reset with timetool to the correct time
i.e. daylight saving time the clock changes back to one hour fast
when you reboot ?

if so this is how i sorted it launch timeconfig from command line
or in a xterm and set the time zone to dublin
and uncheck hardware clock set to gmt
and them reset the time with timetool .

it seem's the gmt setting is pure gmt with no account of daylight saving .

                                                        Dave :)
