Do you need to synch or can the unix box rely on the NT PDC? You can use
my pam_smb software to allow the Linux box authenticate against the PDC,

Either get 1.1.5 or use CVS to get the 1.9.x tree down from cvs.samba.org,
1.9.x is niftier but still has some minor probs (see the BUGS file) I hope
to clean it up RSN :-) (have no CVS access from work at the moment)
