I'm in the same boat, RH6.1 on a Laptop. Network card (3com) installed,
PCMCIA  enabled.

How do I check the card is working? and how do I use DHCP???

my /etc/sysconfig/network reads
NETWORKING=yes
FORWARD IPV4=false
HOSTNAME=localhost.localdomain

What setting should I use in netcfg?????

TIA
