[ILUG] Setting up a hostname

Thanks for all the help earlier with my permissions to the passwd file. I
eventually got it sorted (cheers Niall and everybody else)..........
I have another question.
Users telnetting to Linux box have to specify the IP address (which is a pain)
instead of a Netbios or DNS name.
I tried adding "netbios name=myname" to the global section of smb.conf but
cannot find the smb file to run.
Any thoughts anybody?
