IIRC (and it's a big if), this is still a work-in-progress, it's called
MAJC, (pronounced magic) and sun showed demos of it and gave a talk at
the hotchips conference in stanford, around last november? i think sony
gave demos of the playstation2 cpu (aka emotion engine or something) at
the same conference. i think they're pushing it as their next-generation
CPU architecture after SPARC.
