You are right, just tried. I was confused by the following in 
"man aliases"

"...#' are comments. 

Aliasing occurs only on local names.  Loops..."  

Also, on RH6, 2 adresses separated by "," in .forward are 
working fine... Stop further testing (; <SP> etc.) :o)
