ok
i ran gtk-config --cflags --libs
and got
-I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/lib/glib/include
-L/usr/lib/ -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lgtk -lgdk -rdynamic -lgmodule -lglib -ldl -lXext -lm
then when i recompile i get /usr/include/glib.h:66: glibconfig.h No such file or directory.
any one got any ideas

Try and run the command:
gtk-config --cflags --libs
If it's not there, you don't have the gtk-devel package installed.
Install it, and try again. If it is there, and it's giving that error, it
could be a problem with your Makefile (if you are using one).
If you aren't using one, paste the command line that you invoked GCC as.
