 Now now. Modems all use the frequencies you can pick up with your ear -
so as long as your thing reception when talking over your line is OK,
copper or nickel-coated cable - you should get similar results. The reason
for this is that no two countries phone or cabling infrastructure is the
same - but you can be guaranteed that information can be transmitted at
using bands use for human speech - else it's not a very good phone system.
