Hello, and sorry to clutter up this list with Job adverts.
we have a pretty good unix systems engineer job available at HP that I
thought people interested in Linux may be interested in.
The job involves managing approximately 200 HP-UX machines including
database servers, web servers, File and print servers and some typical
infrastructural protocols such as DNS, SMTP, NTP etc.
This is our high level position for somebody that can drive the direction of
these machines, implement new tools to help in their management and be able
to assist in some highly technical troubleshooting.
The ideal person should have a good understanding in most of the following
areas:
Logical volume manager
Filesystem and database backups
Shell scripts
Perl scripts
System management tools such as HP/ITOperations
SNMP
DNS
Bootp
SMTP
It's a fun job with quite a lot of potential to innovate.
If you are interested, please feel free to phone me or send me your CV.
Thanks
Peter
