On the topic of MTAs, do people think that there's still a place for sendmail
in the mainstream? Sure it's still the defacto standard and caters for pretty
much any mail config you can imagine. I'm not going to argue insecurity like
a lot of sendmail bashers do but it is in fact one of the most inefficient
MTAs around, and also one of the most awkward to configure (no M4 Macro
arguments please, you know what I mean). With much younger alternatives such
as Postfix, Qmail and Exim starting to make a good showing do yee think
there's still a place for sendmail?
