"First to market" probably has more to do with having a finished
product than having something booting on the hardware (Gee, don't you
think maybe Sun have itanium-bootable Solaris too?). Even if anyone
puts out an itanium-ready distribution today, it doesn't mean much
without the hardware to run it on.
