as dave airlie explained, it was more a case that linus does not like
plastering over problems with bad code. he's fastidious about
that. He'd rather have bad behaviour and clean code, and he'll refuse
"unclean" patches, until eventually someone produces a patch that
meets his approval.

exactly the same as the big problems
NT has, and has had forever, which means Microsoft are very suspect in
my mind, which means that NT will be far down on my list of choices
of OS.
I remain convinced that I'm judging every OS I use on the same
criteria.
i'm sure you do, and it's admirable. But lets save the knives for
technobabble. :)
