I've been on this list for a while, and while I don't take a hugely active
role, I always thought that this list was for people who use Linux, and
often other OSs as well, to as each other for advice and help, rather than
a political forum for discussing the virtues of different licensing
options. Surely the way to encourage more users to use Linux has to be by
helping them get over teething problems, and letting them know of cool
features and functionality which will help them use Linux on a day to day
basis instead of Windows.
This has often helped me out in the past when I've come up against a
problem I can't fix.
Since the general focus of the list is Linux and its various versions,
surely the name should stay the same?
If not, I vote for Free Unix Users Group of Irish Techies, or FUUGIT for
short :-).
Let's not blow any gaskets over this one...
David.
