[ILUG] esat nolimits

Just two quick questions(I hope)
Firstly I am trying to set up esat nolimits on my RH6 box at home I have
done this using login scripts the problem is that the connection is
dialed.
Then using tail /var/log/messages I see that the username and password is
being sent, then something like connecting /dev/modem -> /ppp0 I could be
wrong on the exact line here
Then the connection is droped.
When I was using eircom after this last line I got local IP address and
remote IP address.
I am sure it is something stupid that I am doing or it my be a setting
left over from eircom which is causing the problem.

The second problem is on a different machine I have a BP6 motherboard a466
Celeron and a Diamond Viper V770.
Everything installs properly on this except when I try to start X the
display is at a crap resolution.

Any help on any of these problems would be welcome.
