and if you are going to add them can it be done without harming those of
us that don't want to use them - i.e. people that want quick and fast

when writing code that accesses databases, do you have a prefered method
- c, c++, perl, java, python, etc?

also, have you considered rewrititing mysql in perl?  scheme?  intercal?
