Hi,
In case anybody else is having a similar problem, I seem to have solved my one.
The factor involved seems to be that after I recompiled the kernel for another
issue smbfs stopped working even though I was NOT actually using this new kernel!
After I installed the new kernel and booted with it I had no problems.
Just as a matter of interest, does anybody know what could have been the root
of this problem ?
Thanks,
Con
