[ILUG] DNS question....

[ILUG] DNS question....

Dave Airlie david.airlie at drua.ie

Righto,
I don't have DNS & Bind book, and the answer is probably in it, so
I thought I'd ask here instead :-),

When we registered skynet.ie we gave the IEDR two name servers in U.L.,
since then we realised a need for an non-UL backup DNS (thanks Colm :-),
due to numerous connectivity problems with U.L., which meant that when
someone tried sending us e-mail the DNS lookup would sometimes fail
completely...

So my question is, how do the IEDR find my domain now, do they only use
the two nameservers supplied to them, and then should I submit a change
request to move my backup out of U.L., or do they pull my NS records from
my server and store them?

Regards,
	Dave.
