have you got devfsd? you can use that to fix your module loading
problem. 

the audio thing.. there must be a module that hasn't
loaded, sure es1371 is the only module you need? 

(what is /dev/audio anyway? same hardware channel as dsp, but different
audio format accepted by that device or something, right?)
