I got this error a few weeks back and possibly posted how to fix it.
search the archive, or have a look at where Apache loads its' modules
and make sure mod_php is in there...
ah.. I remember, configure php with "--with-mysql=DIR" where DIR is the
dir where mysql is installed.
I think, it's mysql or one of the other packages. This problem is def.
solved at the ./configure stage though.
