{ The start and end tags being on the same line shouldn't matter. They've
{ got the syntax wrong for the comment.
{
{ Their code has:
{ <!--   DEBUT --!>
{
{ The comment end bit should be '-->' not '--!>'

  they also have '!-->'... which is correct. Seems to get mixed up later on.

{
{ I'm suspicious about the html in the rest of the page too. There's no
{ ending body or html tags that I can see, unless it's just being mangled on
{ its way in to me...
{
{ Anyway, it's not a netscape bug as they claim, it's just poxy coding on
{ their part. Not that I trawled through the page source to prove that, or
{ anything...

   true, one of the links/demos I tried to download ended in '.ta'...
    wonderous new compressed file type, not as yet in mime types, not.
    I don't use netscape/broswer to download(not view) http/* and
    use wget to get it. It failed, so I went iterating through the
    various file types, went .tar, .tar.gz, .tgz, .gz and then .tar.bz.
    Twas .tar.bz finally, but the link only included up to '.ta' leading
    me to thinking 'quite a lot of cup'n'paste' going on here....

   A lot of the demos I've seen off linux.scene.org anyway, so nothing
   really new there. Not really much content AFAIK anyways. Still it's
   early days for this website. Be fair and give it a chance (other than
   the HTML coding, which these days is inexcusable.

   You missed the main page bug(s), it closes the table (a one row centered
   table, go figure), the starts a comment, but never ends the comment,
   having <A HREF="news.php3" BORDER=#FFFFFF>, and ending a CENTER tag
   only to start again with a center tag: </CENTER><center>, having the
   (colour) tags not in quotes (LINK=#123456 vlink=#123456)... but the last one
   is nik picking...

   There are worse pages out there... front page... mumble...

   Nice flash animation though... (though looks simple enough to
   do with a gif animation...)... Anyway..

   The other pages are more correct, other than the odd one
   not ending in </body></html>....

   Its amazing at times how tolerant browsers are.

   On a good note, the HTML looks hand coded.
