[ILUG] Network/IP Problem

[ILUG] Network/IP Problem

Hi,

I installed Linux this morning on a Dell Server which up until then worked
only with Win NT. Now it's the first Linux only box here.

My problem is that I selected the DHCP option at install time for the
network, thinking this would resolve all the network pararmeters
automatically. It did not go completly to plan.

I am now able to ping other machines on the network but I am not able to
connect to the Web server using the IP address. I feel that the problem
could be with the IP address that I was giving. I think it's not correct. Is
there any way of checking the correct IP address in Linux.

John
