on the server try exportfs -ar, and remount it on the client.

next try:

umount on client
exportfs -u server:/home
exportfs -ar
mount on client

still doesn't work, unmount and stop nfs on server. go to /var/lib/nfs
and blast all those files with cat /dev/null > filename.
restart nfs / mount.
